"Agricultural Aviation Magazine"  reported that a survey of concerns among aerial applicators found the five (5) most common concerns were: Drift, Waste Disposal, Droplet Size, Deposit Pattern and Swath Width. With the exception of waste disposal, all of the concerns are related to actual spray applications, their results, and inherent risks. Do you face these concerns in your operation?

Testimonials

I have been a turfgrass manager for close to 30 years now and once in a while a product comes around that I get really excited about and Wind Fall Turf & Ornamental is one of those products. Originally designed for drift control for crop dusters, this product enhances any contact or surface application by keeping it in place longer than anything I have ever used. I am seeing contact fungicides persist longer after irrigation cycles, I am getting a better kill with herbicides and I have reduced my herbicide and PGR rates by 20% without compromising performance. I continue to add it to different products and so far it has enhanced the performance of every product selected with zero phyto. Being in Oklahoma and Texas, the wind has always been a factor for spraying and the drift control component allows me to push that envelope a bit. Created by a NASA scientist, this trademarked product has a consistency like I have never seen before as it actually ribbons out of the container; that is why each order comes with a specific cut-off valve for the 2.5-gallon containers as well as the totes. Crop dusters have reduced their pump rebuilds by 80% also and I am expecting that same benefit for my sprayers. I have applied it to every area of Dornick Hills CC including 007 bentgrass greens and enjoyed the enhanced performance of many products with zero side effects. Give the guys at Wind-Fall a call or feel free to call me personally to discuss this product in further detail.  - Fred Leonard, Class A Supt/GM / Dornick Hills Country Club

I started using WIND-FALL for drift management with my aerial applications this year. I liked what I saw originally with pre-emergent on my soybean crops and when I did the math, I found that the savings were very impressive. I have always had a problem when spraying “Penncozeb 75DF” fungicide with the way it destroys the seals in my pumps. It’s a good product and I need to use it, but I was replacing seals 4-5 times a season and always had leak issues. Since I started using WIND-FALL, I have not replaced a single seal and I no longer see any leak issues. I am now calling WIND-FALL an “equipment aid” and have even showed a few of my customers how effective it works both as a lubrication agent and as a surfactant/evaporation reducer/sticker/spreader along with its drift management qualities. I am extremely happy with WIND-FALL on everything I spray.

This is the best darned stuff since they invented pockets on shirts! Walter Prentice, Prentice Aviation Inc.

Overall - in this evaluation, the addition of Wind-Fall in the solution appears to have a significant positive impact on the key droplet spectrum properties that influence potential deposition and environmental stewardship.

Using Wind-Fall is like using an air-brush with an airplane!

Man, You can spray a straight edge with this stuff!
-Andy Mitchell, M&M Air Service Maintenance, Beaumont, Texas

Just wanted to tell you I’ve used Wind-Fall in the (ground) sprayer all summer and did a test one day with it. Wind was 18 mph spraying 10 gallons (per acre), and didn’t move off target at all other than a few droplets. Of course without it it drifted pretty bad. Love the product and it goes in every load now. If guys ever want to talk to someone that’s used it, give them my number. I’ll advocate that stuff like crazy!

So I just want to start by saying I've worked for M&M Air Service in South Texas for 10 years now. We have used all kinds of drift agents. Some have even had a negative reaction to certain other chemicals causing them to sponge up and clog the spray systems, an issue that is more common than most would think. Windfall so far has worked the best and is by far superior to all the others. We have been using windfall for about 2 years and it will be our go to drift agent from now on.
